Mission

The Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up additive manufacturing specialized 3D printers for FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) and ensuring high quality parts are being produced. Throughout process you will be asked to collaborate with our additive manufacturing technicians and Maintenance team to support any process variation or manufacturing challenges that may arise. Additional responsibilities may include but are not limited to; updating workflow system statuses, process improvement initiatives, or inventory improvement process. This position will be working an alternate shift covering our weekends. The shift is four 10-hour days on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

What You Will Be Doing

 

  • Remove finished builds from machines
  • Prep machines for new builds
  • Staging and storage of materials
  • Monitor machines during build process
  • Document and scan paperwork
  • Perform preliminary part inspection
  • Clean up of Auxiliary Equipment
  • Cleaning and prepping of machines for next build

As a part of Stratasys, this position requires access to information and/or technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (or, green card holder), protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Profile


Must Have For This Role

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of related experience (manufacturing or production environment)
  • Intermediate reading and writing skills
  • Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office and email)
  • Intermediate Math skills
  • Excellent mechanical aptiude skills and manual dexterity fro operating machinery
  • Problem solving skils offering ideas for possible solutions
  • Critical thinking skills

Travel required: None

Nice To Have

 

  • Experience in CAD programs
  • Some knowledge of properties of plastics
  • Applies acquired job skills and comany policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
  • Willing to work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but can recognize the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.
  • Comfortable asking for instructions on new assignments
  • Abillity to work overtime and weekends
