Mission
The Technical Writer III studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, schematics, parts lists, specifications, mockups, and product samples to develop MWO work packets and technical drawings to document modifications made to special mission aircraft, ground support equipment, test sets, aviation life support equipment, and special tools. Creates work instructions, technical drawings, schematics, and parts lists for modification procedures and product improvement packages. The technical writer should be proficient in 2D and 3D drawing software applications. Uses 3D additive manufacturing to produce rapid prototypes using 3D printers. In addition, the Technical Writer shall possess the necessary skills to review/verify publications for accuracy. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills for use in communicating with customers and support both on and off site. Needs to be flexible and able to react to changing priorities.
Profile
Basic Qualifications
Candidate needs to have a strong computer background and working knowledge of the MS Office suite. Skilled (experience, certification, education) with 2D and 3d drawing software. Familiarity with Army SOF aircraft, equipment, and terminology.
Desired Skills
Experience or certification in AutoDesk’s AutoCAD, AutoCAD Mechanical, and Inventor software. Familiar with 3D printing technology.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Rotating 40 hour week as assigned by leader
