The TEVO Tornado printer is one of the Chinese manufacturer TEVO’s machines. Since 2015, the company has been developing low-cost, universally accessible 3D printers based on Fused Deposition Modeling technology. The TEVO Tornado is delivered almost completely (95%) assembled. According to the manufacturer, the rest of the parts can be assembled in less than an hour. This makes it an ideal 3D printer for all beginners. It offers a generous print volume of 300 x 300 x 400 mm and can print with PLA, ABS, PETG, TPU and other wood-based plastic filaments.

Features of the TEVO Tornado

The Tevo Tornado is equipped with an aluminum frame that gives it assured solidity and stability. Its print plate heats up quickly and can reach temperatures up to 110°C. This means the machine is able to print which large parts with ABS plastic. Its extruder can heat up to 260°C. The Tevo Tornado also has an LCD control screen, which contributes to ease of use. Technical specifications include an accuracy of 0.004 mm on the Z axis and 0.012 on the XY axis, as well as a layer thickness of 50 microns and a speed of 150 mm/sec.

This 3D printer is very similar to another, also affordable, model: the Creality CR-10. Its strong points are without a doubt its price (around 300€) and the volume of printing it offers: this makes it a very popular 3D printer among manufacturers. The TEVO Tornado is therefore an ideal solution for both well-seasoned 3D printing enthusiasts as well as those who are just beginning their adventure at home.
