WEBINAR: Ceramic Additive Manufacturing at Industrial Scale: Use Cases, Design Guidelines, and Limitations

Technical ceramics offer unparalleled properties, from extreme heat resistance to exceptional corrosion protection. When combined with the design flexibility and precision of additive technologies, this material is becoming a indispensable for industries ranging from medical and aerospace to semiconductors.
Ceramic AM is increasingly used in industrial applications where conventional materials and manufacturing methods are not sufficient. However, to implement it successfully at industrial scale requires a solid understanding of design constraints, material behavior, and process capabilities. That’s why we’re hosting a webinar for engineers, designers, and technical decision-makers who are evaluating ceramic additive manufacturing for functional components in demanding environments. The webinar will take place on May 7, 2026 at 4:00 PM CEST / 10:00 AM EST. Register HERE.

In this webinar, we present real-world use cases of additively manufactured technical ceramic components from industries such as semiconductor, medical devices, and machinery. Each example highlights the initial engineering challenge, the design approach, and the resulting performance improvements. Based on these applications, we will share practical design guidelines for ceramic additive manufacturing, including key considerations related to geometry, tolerances, and material-specific behavior. In addition, we will address the limitations of ceramic AM and discuss scenarios where its use does not provide a technical or economic advantage.
The webinar discussion will be led by Malte Hartmann, Head of Research and Development at Sinto Advanced Ceramics Europe. He has extensive experience in ceramic additive manufacturing across research and industrial applications. Sinto Advanced Ceramics (formerly Bosch Advanced Ceramics) is a specialized contract manufacturer for additively manufactured technical ceramic components, focusing on the industrial-scale production of customer-specific parts. With more than a decade of experience and the production of hundreds of thousands of ceramic components, the company combines deep process expertise with robust and reproducible manufacturing technologies.
