The adoption of additive manufacturing by companies in a variety of sectors has grown considerably in recent years. Even so, many still have doubts in terms of its implementation, for example which technology would be best for each application and what are the steps to follow in the process. This need for adoption is the cornerstone of organizations such as the IAM3DHUB, located in Barcelona. Ramón Pastor, president of the Hub and General Manager of the metal division at HP 3D Printing, is one of the key figures in the industry. And we had the opportunity to talk to him and ask him some questions in our latest Talk3D!

The IAM3DHUB (International Additive Manufacturing 3D Hub) was created with the aim to drive the adoption of 3D printing technologies by companies and industries by providing startups and small businesses with solutions to assess, guide and address their needs within the additive manufacturing sector. As its president tells in the video, the value that this organization adds to the industry is that different companies in the 3D ecosystem, which would normally compete in the market, come together at the same point to encourage that adoption path. Ramón Pastor tells us more about his role and the function of the Hub in the following video:

Finally, Ramón Pastor ends the interview with a key phrase for the sector: “Let’s accelerate adoption.” This closing demonstrates the intention of the industry in general, to democratize technology and encourage its adoption by more and more companies. If you are interested in learning more about the activity carried out by the Hub, you can visit their website HERE for more information.
