SUNLU Launches AMS Lite Heater, Marks 13th Anniversary with Global Giveaway and U.S. Expansion

For many Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) users, moisture is an invisible but persistent challenge. It can lead to stringing, weak layer adhesion, rough surfaces, and inconsistent print quality. Rather than requiring users to dry filament separately before every print, SUNLU’s new AMS Lite Heater aims to integrate drying directly into the printing workflow.
SUNLU, celebrating its 13th anniversary this year, designed the kit specifically for users of the Bambu Lab AMS Lite system.
Alongside the launch, the company is marking its anniversary with a global giveaway and expanding its manufacturing presence in the United States.
Drying and Printing in One Pass
Scheduled to launch on July 20, 2026, the AMS Lite Heater will retail for $129.99 and was developed specifically for users of the Bambu Lab AMS Lite ecosystem. According to SUNLU, the accessory enables simultaneous filament drying and printing without affecting the AMS Lite’s existing functions.
Even filament that’s stored correctly can pick up ambient humidity once it’s loaded and exposed to the air, and quality degrades from there. That’s especially true for hygroscopic materials, which readily absorb moisture from their surroundings.

Instead of drying filament in a separate device before a print starts, the new system keeps drying active throughout the print itself. SUNLU says holding filament conditions steady for the whole job should cut down on moisture-related defects and keep print quality more consistent on longer runs.
The kit dries at temperatures up to 70°C and works with PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, PA, and PC. SUNLU built in a dual-airflow channel to spread heat more evenly across the chamber and reduce hot spots, plus an automatic venting system that clears moisture during operation to keep humidity from building back up. None of this is flashy, but it solves the part of FDM printing that’s genuinely tedious: babysitting a separate dryer instead of just letting a print run.
Humidity Monitoring and Safety Features
The kit also includes built-in humidity monitoring. Users set a threshold, and the system activates drying automatically whenever conditions cross it, including during storage when the printer isn’t running.
SUNLU has rounded this out with multiple temperature-monitoring and safety mechanisms, so the kit needs little manual oversight to keep filament in good shape.
13 Years and a Global Giveaway
The launch comes as SUNLU marks its 13th year in business. Founded in 2013 in Zhuhai, China, the company manufactures 3D printing filaments, resins, and accessories. Over the past decade, SUNLU says it has sold more than 25 million products and holds over 530 intellectual property rights.
SUNLU is marking the anniversary with more than just a new product. The company is also giving back to its community with a global giveaway, and it’s a big one: 100 winners will be selected across multiple platforms, with a prize pool that includes 10,000 rolls of filament, 100 exclusive anniversary gifts, and units of the brand-new AMS Lite Heater, all up for grabs.

Expanding Manufacturing in the United States
SUNLU is also expanding its factory operations in the United States. According to the company, the investment is meant to improve product availability, shorten delivery times, and provide faster service to customers in North America.
Between the new kit and the factory investment, SUNLU’s anniversary year adds up to two concrete moves: hardware built around a third-party ecosystem, and a manufacturing footprint aimed at faster delivery for U.S. customers.
