PharmaTher Partners with Craft Health to Personalize 3D Printed Peptides

The Toronto-based PharmaTher Holdings Ltd. has launched Personaliz3D Peptides™, a division built to develop and commercialize personalized peptide products using 3D printing and artificial intelligence. Two days later, the specialty pharmaceutical company announced a collaboration with Singapore-based Craft Health Pte. Ltd. to evaluate CraftMake™, pharmaceutical 3D printer, as the manufacturing platform behind that strategy.
The announcements outline a new personalized-medicine division, followed by the additive manufacturing technology selected to build it. The collaboration will focus on developing peptide formulations and testing CraftMake™ as a reproducible platform for producing personalized doses, combination formulations, controlled-release designs and alternative dosage forms.

“Patients and healthcare providers should not have to rely on a one-size-fits-all approach when individual treatment needs can differ significantly,” said Fabio Chianelli, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of PharmaTher. “Personaliz3D Peptides™ is being built to make personalized peptide care more precise, convenient, connected and manufactured under strict quality and GMP-aligned standards.”
What Are Peptides, and Why Personalize Them?
Peptides are short chains of amino acids that regulate biological processes such as tissue repair, inflammation and hormone signaling, which is why they have become a growing focus in medicine. PharmaTher and Craft Health plan to evaluate six peptides in particular: BPC-157, KPV, TB-500, MOTS-c, Epitalon and Semax.
Today, peptide compounding is largely limited to fixed doses and injectable or liquid formats. These are often delivered through fragmented networks of prescribers, pharmacies and technology providers. PharmaTher is aiming to offer an alternative. With personalized manufacturing, they’ll be able to tailor dosage, and customize combinations and release profiles to an individual patient.
The timing is not incidental. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee recently voted to recommend BPC-157, KPV, TB-500, MOTS-c, Epitalon and Semax for inclusion on the Section 503A Bulks List. The recommendation is advisory and non-binding, and compounded drugs remain outside FDA approval, but it signals potential movement toward a regulated framework for compounded peptide medicines in the United States.
How the 3D Printer Works
So, how are these peptides produced? The CraftMake™ platform uses semi-solid paste extrusion at room temperature, without heat or UV-light curing. The printer supports single-material, multi-material and pill-in-pill builds, enabling taste-masking and sequential-release designs within a single dose.
Craft Health’s GMP-oriented configuration, CraftMake™ Production Plus, adds an enclosed printing environment and dual printheads capable of depositing two materials concurrently. The company reports dosing accuracy of approximately ±1% and repeatability greater than 99%.

The hardware is paired with CraftControl™ software, which manages print workflows, and CraftBlends™, which is Craft Health’s library of proprietary printable formulations. Together, the components form an integrated hardware-software-formulation stack.
A Growing Category in AM
Pharmaceutical 3D printing has been edging from research settings toward regulated, on-demand production, driven by dose personalization, small-batch manufacturing and complex release profiles that are difficult to achieve with conventional tableting. Analysts expect that shift to show up in market size: Future Market Insights projects the global 3D printed drugs market will grow from roughly USD 435.8 million in 2026 to USD 1.1 billion by 2036, a 9.8% compound annual growth rate.
3D Printed Peptides: What Comes Next
PharmaTher and Craft Health plan to evaluate the six PCAC-recommended peptides across a range of dosage formats and release profiles, including oral thin films and gummies. PharmaTher also intends to explore a broader commercial relationship that could bring CraftMake™ systems into qualified pharmacies.
