KraussMaffei Talks Large-Scale Additive Manufacturing at RAPID + TCT 2025

This time, we touched based with KraussMaffei. Although known in a variety of sectors thanks to its broad range of solutions, the company has also made a name in large-scale additive manufacturing.

3DN: Could you introduce yourself?

Hi, my name is Daniel Landgraf, I am the Global Business Development Manager at KraussMaffei. KraussMaffei Technologies, with its US subsidiary KraussMaffei Corp., is a global leader in the manufacturing of machinery and systems for polymer and rubber processing. With 185 years of experience, the company delivers industrial production solutions across four core technologies: additive manufacturing, injection molding, extrusion, and reaction process machinery.

3DN: What is KraussMaffei showcasing at RAPID + TCT this year?

At RAPID + TCT this year, KraussMaffei is showcasing both of our industrial large-scale additive manufacturing technologies at our booth. This includes:

• Our industrial-grade gantry system powerPrint, making its debut outside of our facilities in the USA. powerPrint features unique thermal management capabilities that ensure full process control, enabling the production of complex materials such as PEI or PP by achieving industrial-grade quality. This advanced system is designed for precision and scalability, making it ideal for demanding industrial applications.
• We will also show one standard robot configuration as a working cell at our booth.

Another thing that will be new at RAPID + TCT is that we are introducing our new product strategy, meaning the offering of our extruder as standalone technology. It enables our customers to use our industrial extruder and respond to their individual production requirements. Our extruder can be installed in both competitive gantry systems as well as a variety of industrial robot solutions.
