Inside 3D Tour: Visiting FELIXprinters in the Netherlands

In our Inside 3D Tour video series, we take a look behind the scenes as we go see the most important players in the AM industry. In the past, we visited the headquarters of Stratasys, XJET and EOS, among others. This time, we travelled to the Netherlands to FELIXprinters, a family business in IJsselstein near Utrecht that specializes in 3D printing and covers a wide range of applications with its versatile printing solutions. Take a look at the video and get to know FELIXprinters!
We were welcomed by Guillaume Feliksdal, founder and managing director of the company. He spoke about founding FELIXprinters in his attic and how the company has developed over the last eleven years from a one-man start-up to a ten-person company.
In addition to the various solutions that Guillaume presented to us, we were particularly impressed by FELIXprinters’ custom principle. Based on modules, the company offers its customers the opportunity to develop personalized 3D printing solutions tailored to their needs.
Then we met up with Jakob Imhof, a 3D printing technician at the company, to take a closer look at some of FELIXprinters’ 3D printers and discover the versatility of the product portfolio. We learned about their bioprinting solutions, the large-format 3D printer Pro XL and how FELIXprinters makes it possible to print 300 kilos of food per day with its food 3D printer.
