Evolve RAPID + TCT 2024

Following the recent introduction of STEP Parts Now, an on-demand additive parts service, Evolve Additive Solutions will be highlighting the robust production capabilities of STEP technology at RAPID + TCT 2024, in collaboration with key partner and largest customer, Fathom Digital Manufacturing, an industry leader in advanced manufacturing services. Their joint presentation at booth 2645 aims to highlight STEP’s unique ability to produce high-fidelity, thermoplastic parts at scale – and at the quality and properties of injection molded ABS parts. Attendees will also get insights into the soon-to-be-released multi-material co-printing capabilities of Evolve’s SVP™ (Scaled Volume Production) 3D printer, including the ability to print hard and soft materials together at the same time on a single build.

Not only that, but this event will also be the time for Evolve’s new CEO, Jeff Blank, to take the reins of the company officially in public, presenting STEP technology and news from the company on a couple different stages at Rapid + TCT – making the event not to miss for all hoping to learn more about the possibilities of printing with Evolve’s innovative solution. Let’s take a closer look at the company’s latest announcements and what attendees can expect at the show.

Evolve Announces New CEO, Jeff Blank

First, Evolve Additive Solutions has announced the addition of Jeff Blank as its new CEO. Jeff Blank’s appointment follows the success of previous CEO Joe Allison, an industry veteran who will continue to contribute to Evolve’s strategy and growth as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Jeff brings a wealth of experience to his new position, starting with a solid foundation in product development in 2D printing, followed by significant achievements as an engineering and operations executive in 3D printing and additive manufacturing. This experience, coupled with Jeff’s significant positive influence during his current tenure at Evolve, ensures a strong and consistent leadership and smooth transition to the CEO role. Overall, according to the company, this is a positive and anticipated progression.

I joined Evolve two years ago because I believe in the combination of our technology and people – and their unique abilities to address critical gaps in scaling additive manufacturing for production,” said Jeff Blank. “Evolve, and our STEP Technology, are at the beginning of an incredible journey to deliver immense value in manufacturing. My vision is that soon we will see STEP on factory floors right alongside injection molding machines.”

Which Innovations is Evolve Presenting at RAPID + TCT?

This, among other reasons, is why the company’s presence at RAPID + TCT 2024 promises to be an important moment, showcasing the transformational potential of STEP technology for real production. For all exhibitors, this event will serve as a platform to introduce key innovations, materials and commercial capabilities to come very soon. Evolve is most excited to showcase its ability to scale its multi-material co-printing – the only additive process in market today that can achieve this – and using high-performance thermoplastic materials.

Building on that, the successful partnership between Evolve and Fathom, who will share the same booth, will be highlighted. Together they will demonstrate through real customer stories and applications how STEP enables scalable production for complex applications in various sectors including automotive, medical device, fluid management and emblem plating in ways other additive processes and even traditional manufacturing such as CNC machining and injection molding, cannot.

For attendees who want to dive deeper and learn more about this, new CEO Jeff Blank will give a Tech Hub presentation on Tuesday 25 at 3:30 pm PDT titled “Utilize STEP Technology to Achieve High Fidelity Plastic Parts at Scale.” Here, he will elaborate on how STEP technology harnesses the benefits of additive manufacturing to produce parts with the fidelity, quality and properties of injection molding. Real-life case studies will illustrate how STEP enables faster time-to-market for products by serving as a bridge solution to mass production.

Additionally, at RAPID + TCT, Evolve will open the keynote address by Terry Wohlers on Thursday 27th at 1pm PDT, who will discuss the state of the industry, recent trends, developments and strategies. Jeff Blank will again open this session with a 10-minute talk in which he will provide an overview of STEP technology. You can learn more about Evolve and STEP technology at HERE.
