The America Makes Technical Review and Exchange (TRX) will take place on March 7-8 2023 in El Paso, Texas, in collaboration with the University of Texas, El Paso. The event will see the showcase of successful America Makes projects and will be a chance for the AM ecosystem to convene and share ideas.

America Makes is also known as the National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Institute, an engineering consultancy based in Ohio which aims to accelerate the adoption of additive manufacturing and improve the US market. It is structured as a public-private partnership with member organizations from industry, academia, government, non-government agencies, and workforce and economic development resources,

The America Makes Technical Review and Exchange (TRX) is aimed at engineers, decision-makers, and executives. The event will be opened by Brandon Ribic, the Technology Director of America Make, who has 15 years experience in materials and manufacturing. The agenda includes talks on the technical processes such as Metal Laser Powder Bed Fusion, robotic directed energy deposition, and the toxicity of flame smoke in Digital Light Processing, as well as more business-related aspects such as qualification and certification requirements and a panel discussion on the possibility of reproducible parts. Each day will also include networking breaks, an opportunity to socialize and collaborate with others in the same industry. Speakers will come from many different backgrounds. From the Keck Center for 3D Innovation (based at the University of Texas, El Paso) to Colorado School of Mines, there will be many speakers from research backgrounds. Attendees can also benefit from speeches from Boeing, UTEP (University of Texas, El Paso) Aerospace and Defense Design Center, and GE Research Center.
