French Startup “Endeer” recently launched their crowdfunding campaign for SHAPE, a few months after winning the second edition of Startup Pitches at AddFab in Paris. SHAPE is a 3D printed underwire bra that is tailored to each woman’s body. The co-founders, Claire Chabaud and Mathilde Alloin, have already exceeded their initial goal; Exciting news for women!

3D printing has proven itself time and again in the fashion industry, as several designers have released their own collections using 3D technologies. Each one aiming to obtain more complex shapes and a higher level of personalization. Two key points for an industry that is always searching for innovation.  Endeer understands this: using 3D technologies, they are are creating customized bras that have no size and fit perfectly in the form of the breast.

Endeer Creates a Sizeless Bra

Claire and Mathilde say that 80% of women wear bras that do not suit them. The SHAPE solution, therefore, responds to this striking observation. In order to create their bras, it all begins simply with a 3D scan that is done on a phone. This scan provides the 3D footprint for the rest of the bra. From this, Endeer is able to 3D print the framework of the bra that will then be integrated into the SHAPE, using fabric that is made in France.

These 3D printed cups are removable and will fit any other SHAPE – so women will be able to choose the style they like. Lace models may be developed if this campaign meets the desired success. The straps are also removable and the back is loose without staples.

The first models should be delivered beginning in September and are available from €80 as part of an Indiegogo campaign; a price that will reach €150 for the general public. Support the Endeer ICI campaign until mid-July!
