ADDITIV Polymers World

The moment you have all been waiting for is nearly here! ADDITIV Polymers World will be taking place in a few days on Thursday, October 5th, 2023 from 9:00 AM – 1:30 PM EDT (3:00 – 7:30 PM CEST). This first-ever edition will be a half-day dedicated to networking, connecting and learning more about the importance of polymers in different aspects of 3D printing. And the excitement is palpable. We, along with ProdwaysINTAMSYS, Stratasys, SPE, SPE Additive Manufacturing, IAM3DHUB, ASTM International, AMGTA, Wevolver, ASME, Women in 3D Printing and 3DPrint.com are getting ready to welcome over 700 registrants. Be sure to register for free to get access to all the panel discussions, workshops and of course networking.

Over the past few years, we have seen continued innovation in the plastics field, especially as it relates to 3D printing. Indeed, much work has been put into material development including for composites and high-performance polymers. As a result, polymer 3D printing is even more widespread, with uses in various sectors including aerospace, consumer goods, medical and more. It is for that reason that we want to put the materials in the spotlight at ADDITIV Polymers World, showing everything from standardization to post-processing and giving attendees the tools they need to fully understand the important role of polymers in additive manufacturing.

At ADDITIV Polymers World, come learn about the different ways polymer3D printing is being used

Panels and Workshops at ADDITIV Polymers World

As mentioned before, there will be three panel discussions at ADDITIV Polymers World. In the first, “High Performance Polymers vs Composites in Additive Manufacturing” we will be welcoming distinguished speakers including Dr. Rigoberto Advincula from ORNL and University of Tennessee, Pat Warn from Alpine Racing Formula 1 and Ellen Lee from the Ford Motor Company. These specialists will be able to discuss further on just what you need to know about these materials as well as their benefits, even when it comes to replacing metals. Next, Sherri Monroe from AMGTA will be moderating the panel “Moving Towards a Circular Economy With Polymer Additive Manufacturing” with Dr. Phil Reeves from Reeves Insight, Mazher Mohammed from the University of Loughbourough and Alban D’Halluin from Prodways Machines. Last but not least, the final panel of the day will dicsuss the use of consumer goods in polymer 3D printing and will include Matthew Forrester from L’Oréal, Brian Cotty from rpm GmbH and Tim Downing from Stratasys.

Additionally, there will be three workshops at ADDITIV Polymers. These will cover three topics, namely standardization in vat polymerization, getting the best out of engineering materials and a closer look at post-processing for plastic 3D printing parts. For these, we will be welcoming speakers from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), INTAMSYS and Rick Neff, LLC. You can find out more in the agenda HERE. And don’t forget as well that between the panel discussions and workshops it will also be possible to network with leaders in polymer additive manufacturing in three dedicated networking sessions.

Different 3D printing processes will be covered at the event, including those centered on resins
