ADDITIV Design World

After the success of our previous ADDITIV virtual events, which have brought together additive manufacturing professionals with key players in different industries, the leading virtual event platform for additive manufacturing is back once again. This time, join us on May 23rd from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM EDT (3:00 – 7:00 PM CEST) for the first-ever edition of ADDITIV Design World, a half-day virtual event dedicated to delving into the role of design in 3D printing. We will be welcoming an expected 500+ attendees a day full of panel discussions, workshops, and networking. Register for free to attend!

Design is a key stage in 3D printing as the very first step in the value chain, and a fundamental block when it comes to obtaining a quality part. This includes of course DfAM, or Design for Additive Manufacturing, which encompasses the set of best practices and rules that must be taken into consideration when creating a part using additive manufacturing. It is fundamental in order to achieve the best results in terms of efficiency, sustainability, and performance of the part. But how exactly does the design of a product influence the choice of manufacturing method? How DfAM can help to improve the performance of a part? What are the most interesting and cutting edge innovations in design and 3D printing? Learn the answers to these questions and more at ADDITIV Design World.

At ADDITIV Design World, come learn about the different ways design is being used in 3D printing

What Can You Expect at ADDITIV Design World?

Workshops and panel discussions will be at the forefront of ADDITIV Design World with three of each taking place throughout the half-day. For the panel discussions, distinguished speakers will delve into different aspects of Design for Additive Manufacturing, including digital twins, topological optimization, lattice structures, biomimicry, reverse engineering, and more! Meanwhile, in the workshops, one expert will be giving a presentation on a specific topic, to understand how to use a specific software, or to discover application cases.

The virtual event will kick off with an opening speech before moving on to the first panel of the day, “Design Freedom in Production: Best Practices and Challenges.” All panel discussions will last 40 minutes, and will be followed by a 20-minute workshop. The second conference will address the topic “Increasing the Performance of a Part Through DfAM,” while in the third and last panel, our speakers will discuss “What is the Future of Design in Additive Manufacturing?”. You can find out more in the agenda HERE.

Among the partners and sponsors, ADDITIV Design World already counts Evolve Additive Solutions, Plastics Engineering, IAM3DHUB, SPE, AMGTA, Wevolver and more! Not to mention, leading companies and institutions in the sector will also participate in the panel discussions and workshops, including NASA, the U.S. Army DEVCOM Soldier Center, PROCODE_DRESS Fashion firm, the Loughborough School of Design and Creative Arts, and more!

Panel discussions and workshops will enable you to discover design tools for additive manufacturing and real applications

Alex Martel, CEO of 3Dnatives, concludes, “We’re delighted to be launching this first edition of ADDITIV Design World. It’s an event that we feel is essential for the additive manufacturing market, as design is a vital link in the value chain. Today, there are more and more solutions for DfAM, and we are looking forward to sharing them with the entire AM and Design communities through this virtual event. We look forward to seeing you on May 23rd!” You can register for the event for free HERE.
