3D printing manufacturer Renishaw have released the AM250 and optimised it for work in the medical sector. The AM250 includes an external powder hopper with valve interlocks to allow additional material to be added whilst the process is running. The hopper can be removed for cleaning or for material changes. This means that multiple material types can be used with ease.
The powder overflow containers are outside the chamber, so unused materials can be sieved and reintroduced to the process whilst the system is running. The AM250 has a print volume of 250 mm x 250 mm x 300 mm.
