Record Fundraising for LATTICE MEDICAL: €43 Million to Reinvent Breast Reconstruction!

Big news has just impacted the French additive manufacturing market and, more broadly, the medtech sector in France: LATTICE MEDICAL has just raised €43 million. This €43 million will be used to accelerate the clinical development of MATTISSE. This is a resorbable breast implant, designed using 3D printing. Breast reconstruction after breast cancer is now intended to be natural and simple.

According to the World Health Organization, there are 2 million new cases of breast cancer each year. It is the most common and deadliest form of cancer among women. In light of this, several initiatives and projects have been developed, and October is an ideal time to take stock. This is the context for the work of Lille-based LATTICE MEDICAL, which aims to offer a more natural solution for women who have undergone a mastectomy. Its mission? “To reinvent tissue regeneration solutions to improve the quality of life for patients after cancer.”

While LATTICE MEDICAL had already raised $8 million in 2022, then received $6 million in funding in 2024, this time it is aiming even higher. This Series B fundraising round was led by the SPI Fund, managed on behalf of the French government as part of France 2030 by Bpifrance, and supported by Blast.Club, Sprim, qualified investors grouped within TIDJEE, as well as long-standing shareholders EIC Fund, Captech Santé, Nord France Amorçage, and FIRA Nord Est.

In concrete terms, this operation should enable the company to accelerate the clinical development of MATTISSE and RODIN with a view to bringing them to market as quickly as possible. It also plans to expand its industrial capacity and strengthen its presence in Europe and internationally.

Julien Payen, CEO of LATTICE MEDICAL, concludes: “This fundraising is a real turning point for LATTICE MEDICAL. It allows us to pursue our mission: to reinvent tissue reconstruction after cancer, while building an innovative and industrial French medtech company that contributes to the health of the region and the quality of life of patients.”
