Are you an engineer or manufacturer looking to get more out of additive manufacturing (AM)? Whether you’re designing prototypes, optimizing tooling or scaling production, this workshop series is for you. From June 23rd to 27th, 3Dnatives and Stratasys hosted five expert-led online sessions focused on delivering real, practical value from 3D printing. Now, recordings of these workshops are available for your viewing. Watch the replays of the workshops HERE.
Titled “Practical Lessons for Engineers Who Need Additive to Deliver,” this five-part series featured short sessions that tackled the real-world challenges of working with AM—from prototyping and tooling to full-scale production.
Focused, Actionable Learning: Agenda and Speakers
Workshop 1 – Stop Compromising on Prototypes: 3D Print Across All Product Development Stages
Why choose between function and appearance? In this session, Daniel Princ, Director of Global Sales Enablement, delves into how technologies like PolyJet, FDM and SLA enable engineers and designers to create prototypes that both perform and impress—accelerating iteration, validation and client approval.
Workshop 2 – Smarter Tooling with 3D Printing: What Works, What Doesn’t, and How to Start
Dave Hayden, a Mechanical and Global Application Engineer with 11+ years of experience, shares practical do’s and don’ts for 3D printed tooling. Learn how to reduce lead times, lighten parts and identify opportunities across your production floor.
Workshop 3 – Unlocking Production Potential: Materials, Systems, and Certification Advances
Additive isn’t just for prototyping anymore. In this session, Niccolo Giannelli, Director FDM Enablement, explores how FDM is being used to produce end-use parts with certified materials, open systems and the standards required for production in regulated industries.
Workshop 4 – Specialty Materials for the Most Demanding Applications
If your parts need to withstand heat, UV, chemicals or static, this session is for you. Gulay Bozoklu, Lead Application Engineer, explores Stratasys’ portfolio of engineered polymers—from ESD-safe to FST-rated materials—and share how they’re being used in connector and machine components.
Workshop 4 – Turning Waste into Parts and Profit
The final session addresses one of the biggest challenges in powder-bed 3D printing: unused PA12 powder. Learn with Steven Goodwin, Senior Corporate Application Engineer, how Stratasys’ SAF ReLife process makes it possible to reuse that material and produce new parts—at virtually no cost.
