La startup specializzata in tecnologie ipersoniche Venus Aerospace, con sede a Houston (Texas), ha ufficialmente chiuso un round di finanziamento di Serie B da 91 milioni di dollari, guidato dalla societ\u00e0 di venture capital <em>Mercury Fund<\/em> e con la partecipazione di <em>Lockheed Martin Ventures<\/em>, <em>PEAK6, Draper Associates<\/em> e altri investitori strategici e istituzionali. L&#8217;azienda intende impiegare il capitale per portare il proprio sistema di propulsione RDRE (<em>Rotating Detonation Rocket Engine<\/em>), un motore a razzo ad alta spinta gi\u00e0 collaudato in volo, dalla dimostrazione riuscita all&#8217;utilizzo concreto in applicazioni della difesa e dello spazio nel breve termine.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph normal ng-star-inserted\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start-index=\"92\">Per la comunit\u00e0 della stampa 3D, l&#8217;aspetto pi\u00f9 interessante \u00e8 il modo in cui Venus Aerospace sfrutta la produzione additiva per risolvere complesse sfide di propulsione. L&#8217;azienda costruisce il proprio RDRE con componenti realizzati tramite <a href=\"https:\/\/www.3dnatives.com\/it\/laser-powder-bed-fusion-lpbf-050920219\/\">fusione laser a letto di polvere<\/a>. Anzich\u00e9 sviluppare un motore specifico per ogni singola applicazione, Venus Aerospace sta costruendo un&#8217;architettura di propulsione comune, pensata per servire diverse classi di missione.
