Per una quota significativa di questi pazienti, i trattamenti farmacologici convenzionali risultano insufficienti. Un gruppo di ricercatori della Pennsylvania State University (Penn State) potrebbe aver trovato una risposta in un piccolo impianto bioelettrico realizzato tramite <a href=\"https:\/\/www.3dnatives.com\/it\/produzione-additiva\/\">stampa 3D<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Il dispositivo, chiamato CaroFlex, \u00e8 prodotto mediante stampa 3D a partire da idrogel, un materiale morbido e flessibile simile alla gelatina. La scelta non \u00e8 casuale. A differenza dei bioelettrodi tradizionali realizzati con metalli rigidi e plastiche, CaroFlex si adatta meccanicamente ai tessuti viventi e vi aderisce senza necessit\u00e0 di suture, grazie a uno strato adesivo atossico integrato nel dispositivo stesso. L&#8217;assenza di suture elimina uno dei problemi principali degli impianti convenzionali: il danno progressivo al tessuto arterioso provocato dal movimento naturale delle arterie durante la contrazione e la dilatazione.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-85961\" src=\"https:\/\/www.3dnatives.com\/es\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/hidrogel-implant.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Secondo Tao Zhou, professore assistente di Scienza e Ingegneria dei Materiali alla Penn State e autore principale dello studio, l&#8217;impianto agisce sul riflesso barocettivo, un meccanismo naturale dell&#8217;organismo che regola la pressione arteriosa tramite terminazioni nervose specializzate situate nel seno carotideo. Il dispositivo viene impiantato in questa zona ed emette segnali elettrici a bassa frequenza che stimolano questi recettori, modulando cos\u00ec la risposta del sistema nervoso autonomo senza intervento farmacologico.<\/p><div class=\"dnati-inside-article dnati-entity-placement\" style=\"text-align: center;\" id=\"dnati-2885063252\"><div id=\"dnati-1411249067\"><a data-no-instant=\"1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.3dnatives.com\/it\/concorso-del-3dnatives-lab-vinci-una-stampante-3d\/?utm_source=website&#038;utm_medium=banner&#038;utm_campaign=flashforge_adventurer5mpro&#038;lang=it\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" class=\"a2t-link\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"LB (IT)\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.3dnatives.com\/it\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2026\/06\/LB-IT-1.gif\" alt=\"\"  width=\"850\" height=\"150\"   \/><\/a><\/div><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I test condotti su modelli animali hanno prodotto risultati promettenti. Delle cinque frequenze elettriche valutate, quattro sono riuscite a ridurre la pressione arteriosa attiva con una media di oltre il 15%. Se i risultati saranno confermati dagli studi clinici, CaroFlex potrebbe diventare un&#8217;alternativa concreta per i pazienti con ipertensione resistente ai farmaci.
