US manufacturer HP has unveiled a new 3D printing center in Dali, China that features 10 Multi Jet Fusion 3D printers. With this unveiling, HP is reinstating their desire to expand their activities in the Asia-Pacific region, one year after announcing its partnership with Shining 3D. This center, created in collaboration with Guangdong Lanwan Intelligence Technology Company, will become the digital production platform in China.<\/p>\n

While HP is becoming one of the top 5 largest 3D printer manufacturers in the world, the US continues to grow and expand with the recent opening of this production center in Dali, one of the world’s largest manufacturing hubs in the region. It is not common to see so many 3D Multi Jet Fusion printers in one room: 10 additive manufacturing solutions have been installed, they will be used directly by Guangdong Lanwan Intelligence Technology Company, a 3D printing service.<\/p>\n

The largest 3D printing center in Asia-Pacific<\/h4>\n

HP solutions will help the Chinese service to 3D print functional prototypes and finished industrial parts. As China is the largest production market, it seems obvious that 3D printer manufacturers would want to settle there. Opened on June 16, the new center will provide 3D printed parts for the automotive and consumer goods industries. It should serve the province of Guangdong but also the Greater Bay Area.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe demand for 3D-printed production-grade parts will grow exponentially over the next few years as we shift from analog to digital manufacturing,\u201d said Luo Jun, Executive Director of China 3D Printing Technology Industry Alliance and President of Guangdong Lanwan Intelligence Technology. \u201cBy deploying HP\u2019s Multi Jet Fusion technology in our new digital manufacturing center in China, we can better \u2013 and more quickly \u2013 deliver cost-effective and production-grade parts to our customers.\u201d<\/p>\n
