If you drive a \u0160koda, you’re in luck! The Czech automotive manuufacturer recently shared a collection of 3D files for personalizing its vehicle interiors. The models include things like a USB cable holder and a coin organizer, and are designed to help drivers keep their cars tidy. \u0160koda<\/a> has used additive manufacturing since 1997<\/strong>. The company first used 3D technologies to produce prototypes and has since expanded their applications.<\/p>\n

In 2025, \u0160koda opened a dedicated center equipped with 14 industrial machines<\/strong> and two desktop printers<\/strong>. The company now has in-house capabilities in 4 technologies: fused deposition modeling (FDM), stereolithography (SLA), Multi Jet Fusion<\/a> and PolyJet<\/a>. This helps it improve productivity.<\/p>\n

Martin Sova is the coordinator of the 3D Printing Competence Centre within the Technical Development department. He explained: \u201cUsing 3D printing saves us a considerable amount of time. And since all data remains within the company, this approach also offers enhanced confidentiality.”<\/em><\/p>

\u0160koda has released little information about its additive manufacturing projects. The company has now published several 3D files on the Printables platform<\/a> to let customers personalize their vehicle interiors.<\/p>\n

3D Files for Personalizing Your \u0160koda<\/h2>\n

So far, \u0160koda has shared 10 3D models<\/strong>. Some are compatible with all of its cars, while others are designed only for the \u0160koda Peaq, Epiq or Fabia IV. The collection includes storage compartments, a phone holder, a cup holder and an organizer for the lower console. The parts are storage accessories designed to be easy to print.<\/p>\n

Similar projects have appeared in the 3D printing sector before. Ford<\/a> released several 3D files for custom interior parts for its Maverick. Peugeot had also worked on a range of 3D accessories for its 308, although without going that far. \u0160koda is joining this \u201cmovement\u201d because the demand is there, and consumers want personalization. With 3D printing, the customization options are endless.<\/p>\n

\u0160koda joined Printables in 2024. It was the first automaker on the platform and initially participated in a contest offering scale models of its cars as prizes.
