Impossible Objects’ CBAM technology addresses this by combining high-speed production with high-performance composite materials, including long carbon fiber and fiberglass. The method produces lightweight parts at volume for applications traditionally served by processes such as CNC machining and injection molding. The company claims that simultaneously, the technology eliminates the need for expensive tooling and associated costs.

“We’ve created a fundamentally new way to manufacture,” said Robert Swartz, founder and chairman of Impossible Objects. “We live our lives through things, and we have changed how things are made.
