Good morning, Boston. RAPID + TCT 2026<\/a> officially opens its doors, bringing together key players across the additive manufacturing industry for one of the year\u2019s most important events. Kicking off April 13 with its conference program, followed by the exhibition opening on April 14, the event features over 450 exhibitors and a packed schedule of insights and networking opportunities.<\/p>\n

From Micro to Mega<\/h2>\n

Among the first time exhibitors, several companies stand out for their distinct approaches to additive manufacturing. Photosynthetic will present its Origin 2.5 system, combining the speed of stereolithography with the precision of two-photon polymerization to achieve sub-micron resolution at production scale. Also operating at the microscale, Boston Micro Fabrication<\/a> is making its North American debut with the microArch S150 Series, compact benchtop systems based on Projection Micro Stereolithography technology, targeting applications from microfluidics to biomedical devices.<\/p>

At the opposite end, Canmora Tech is focused on scale, developing metal additive manufacturing<\/a> systems designed for multi-meter builds. Its 4Z tank technology keeps the build plate fixed while the chamber walls rise during the process, improving stability and minimizing vibration.<\/p>\n

New Takes on Material Extrusion<\/h2>\n

Two additional first-time exhibitors are rethinking material extrusion from different angles. AIM3D is positioning its pellet-based systems as compatible with a wide range of standard injection molding<\/a> materials, including high-performance polymers like ULTEM 9085, while targeting high build rates and industrial applications.<\/p>\n

On the more accessible end, Snapmaker<\/a> will introduce the U1, a sub-$1,000 multi-material, multi-color desktop system with four print heads designed to reduce waste and simplify multi-material printing. ELEGOO is also on the floor with its new Jupiter 2 large-format resin printer, alongside a broader product ecosystem, and will host a \u201cPrint What You Scan\u201d event on April 15 focused on scan-to-print workflows.<\/p>\n

Ones to Watch<\/h2>\n

HP is marking a decade in additive manufacturing this year. In addition to the milestone, the company is set to make an announcement at its booth at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, making it one to watch on the show floor.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Bambu Lab<\/span><\/span><\/a> is teasing a new product launch scheduled for April 14 at 4 PM CEST. While details remain limited, the announcement of course has already generated strong anticipation across the community, making it one to watch closely during the event.<\/p>\n
