Startup in particular are working hard to expand the capabilities of 3D printing to a multitude of sectors and applications, a trend that will undoubtedly continue this year. In that vein, few weeks ago, we presented our twelve candidates for Startup of the Year 2023, all of which impressed us with their approaches and products. Among them were international startups specializing in software, technology and materials, but also startups that stood out with innovative applications, for example in the medical field and in terms of sustainability and the circular economy.\u00a0Several weeks after asking you to choose your favorite startup, it&#8217;s time to announce the big winner. Nearly 900 votes were counted and BIO INX won our competition with 238 votes!\u00a0Congratulations !<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.3dnatives.com\/en\/3dstart-up-bio-inx-innovative-bio-inks-for-3d-printing-021120235\/\">Belgian company BIO INX<\/a>\u00a0is dedicated to developing materials for bioprinting, with each printing technology having different ink requirements.\u00a0Bioinks must be able to be processed in such a way as to reproduce human tissue as closely as possible, all as efficiently as possible.\u00a0The CEO of the young company, Jasper Van Hoorick, spoke to us last November about the beginnings of the startup, created in 2022, the involvement of academic research in its work, international partnerships and the challenges of biomanufacturing.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_52775\" style=\"width: 710px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-52775\" class=\"wp-image-52775 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.3dnatives.com\/de\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2024\/01\/bio-inx-biotinten.jpeg\" alt=\"BIO INX\" width=\"700\" height=\"400\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-52775\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">BIO INX, the most innovative startup of 2023 according to our readers, specializes in the production of bioinks for various printing technologies. (Image: BIO INX)<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Although\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.3dnatives.com\/en\/bioprinting-projects-3d-printed-organs-070420205\/\">3D printing of organs, muscles and tissues<\/a> is progressing and definitely constitutes one of the main goals of modern medicine, the road ahead is strewn with pitfalls in particular because of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.3dnatives.com\/en\/bioprinting-under-the-microscope-are-the-current-standards-ethical-2508234\/\">regulations<\/a> that are still obscure. Despite everything, BIO INX is optimistic about the future of 3D printed organ manufacturing.\u00a0Market analyzes also confirm this trend.
