With hundreds of Kickstarter campaigns for 3D printers today, what makes theirs so special? Well, that’s easy- it’s their printers printing plate, which automatically changes, allowing objects to be 3D printed continuously without stopping.

For many, changing the printing tray is a big constraint, as it doesn’t allow for continuous production; requiring users to remove the finished part in order to print the next one, or to swap trays. Some solutions have been offered, such as the BlackBelt printer with their conveyor belt, but now, Opencreators has provided their solution with the BS210. But, what enables the BS210 to print continuously? Well, that would be thanks to its ABC module, which automatically changes the printing tray as the process progresses. To do this, it adds a glass plate, which is then moved on a conveyor, reducing the time spent by the operator of having to change or add plates themselves.

The trays are located in a tray located behind the 3D printer

This ABC module is not the only innovative feature of Opencreators’ printer: there is also microscopic sensors that make it possible to detect all the curves, no matter how thin, to ensure that the object is perfectly printed. Thanks to this, it gives an exact print that starts from the first layer. In addition, these sensors also help to lower the gap between the tip of the nozzle and the plate to help reduce the failure rate. The BS210 also features a TMC engine that minimizes noise and vibration, ensuring high surface quality.

This desktop 3D printer, with a resolution of 50 microns and a print volume of 210 x 210 x 250 mm, simplifies 3D printing at home or in the office, a goal that the Korean startup has already reached with their very first machine, the OCP Almond.

So far, Opencreators has already largely achieved their Kickstarter campaign goal, with more than $58,000 raised; surpassing the original goal of $50,000.

For more information, check out the official video below:

What do you think of the new Opencreators 3D printer?
