Italian audio device manufacturer, V-Moda, have released their new Bluetooth speaker and headphone amplifier, the \u2018Remix\u2019. Starting at a price of $300, the company has incorporated 3D printed custom-made parts, such as luxury shields and caps for headphones and ear buds, that range between $40 to $370,000.<\/p>\n

The Italian company, which is based in Milan, began working with 3D printing in 2015, with the intent of offering more customization to their customers. Today, the company continues to work with 3D printing to offer the same customization to the luxury market.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter developing our critically acclaimed headphones, we felt it was time to evolve, to \u201cremix\u201d the V-MODA sound into a new form,” explained V-Moda CEO Val Kolton. “We already had our innovative headphones with their world-renowned sound, materials, and personalization: why can\u2019t a speaker achieve the same goals and excel at the same vision?\u201d<\/p>

In order to create the Remix, V-Moda needed 3 years of development and 50 different variations before reaching their final version of their Bluetooth speaker. In the end, their speaker was comprised of six sides that are fully customizable, with the ability to create different plates in different materials, all thanks to 3D printing. These materials include light matte fiber, steel, bronze, silver, 14k gold or platinum.<\/p>\n

With a size of 205 x 65 x 68 mm, the Remix is small enough to be transported for a trip to the park, beach or to work. The speaker is powered by a glass-fiber diaphragm, long coil drivers and has a rear-mounted bass reflex port to give you a crisp, clean sound. In addition, the speaker includes a headphone amplifier and has two finishes of CNC aluminum or vegan-leather. In total, the speaker has a 10-hour battery life and can connect to two different Bluetooth sources at the same time.<\/p>\n
