{"id":26709,"date":"2021-01-16T00:05:27","date_gmt":"2021-01-16T00:05:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.3dnatives.com\/en\/?p=26709"},"modified":"2021-01-15T13:32:08","modified_gmt":"2021-01-15T13:32:08","slug":"castable-wax-40-resin-formlabs-160120214","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.3dnatives.com\/en\/castable-wax-40-resin-formlabs-160120214\/","title":{"rendered":"Castable Wax 40 Resin: the new resin from Formlabs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Formlabs has added a 30th patented material to its catalog!\u00a0During the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas, which took place virtually this year, the American manufacturer presented its new resin intended for jewelers: the Castable Wax 40 Resin.\u00a0To develop this new material, Formlabs collaborated with the Gemological Institute of America, an authority in jewelry expertise, and Rio Grande Jewelry Supply, one of the world&#8217;s largest suppliers of<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>tools jewelry related tools.\u00a0This alliance made it possible to design the ideal resin for the production of jewelry molds.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">With 12 new materials developed in 2020, Formlabs wants to prove that the quality of parts designed through additive manufacturing directly correlates to the quality of the material used.\u00a0When asked about this, David Lakatos, Product Manager at Formlabs explained, <i>\u201cThe advancements happening in material science are providing the 3D printing industry with a new level of utility and versatility. When revolutionary materials are combined with the unique structures 3D printers can create, the end products better meet the needs and expectations of consumers.
