3D print models are ready-to-print digital files, usually STL or 3MF, that you download and send straight to your printer. There are many websites where you can find STL<\/a> files to print, with new models added all the time. However, the best ones do more than look good: they solve a real problem and are actually worth the print. Handicap Dog Cart<\/h2>\r\n

This model is a wheelchair for dogs with limited mobility. It’s available in two formats: rear-leg and front-leg. The rear-leg cart, for paralysis or amputation of the back legs, is the one you can print and use as is. It suits small breeds under about 4.5 kg (10 lb) and comes with short and long frames, short and long rails, and two wheel sizes, so the cart gets fitted to the dog<\/a> instead of the dog to the cart. The front-leg version is more complicated. It needs measurements from the individual animal, and even with a proper fit some dogs never get comfortable pushing one around. DIY Filament Recycling Machine<\/h2>\r\n

ExtrudeX by Creative3DP is a filament recycling machine<\/a> you print yourself. Every structural part comes off a standard FDM printer, and the finished machine turns failed prints, purge lines, and scrap into fresh 1.75 mm filament. You shred the waste, mix it with virgin pellets of the same material, and feed it into a heated barrel driven by a DC gear motor. A puller downstream sets the diameter, a fan cools the strand on its way out, and you can add a digital gauge to watch the diameter while it runs. Creative3DP recommends 40% scrap to 60% virgin pellets, which cuts your filament bill without eliminating it.
