In the United-Arab Emirates, MEET (Middle Eastern Engineering Technologies) just finished the construction of the MEET 3D Villa. The villa was printed in just 2 weeks in Sharjah, in the heart of SRTIP, with the help of the CyBe team\u2019s expertise, providing on-site training and support. Founded in 2013, CyBe develops, sells and uses concrete 3D printers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This is the first 3D printed villa designed and inspired by Emirati heritage and architecture. The project was established through the collaboration of the public, private and academic sectors. Solar energy is being used to power the house as a source of clean energy to ensure a better future for present and future generations.<\/p>\n

The walls of the villa were entirely 3D printed using concrete 3D printers<\/p><\/div>\n

As you may know, when we speak about a 3D printed house, in fact we mean that the walls have been 3D printed. Therefore, the MEET 3D Villa had 100% of its walls 3D printed in just over two weeks. It is an insulated and sustainable house with traditional Emirati architecture and powered by the latest bifacial solar panels. It was inaugurated on Tuesday December 15th.<\/p>

CyBe explained that its role was to provide technology to support the construction using 3D printing technology, as well as giving training and conducting research at the American University of Sharjah. They write on their website: \u201cWe were asked to function as technology and education partner, in order to make Sharjah a preferred destination for future architecture, as well as changing construction globally<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n
