Created in April 2013 by Sebastien Karpp, Yeggi now gathers more than 6.13 million 3D models, a number that has been growing steadily since the site went live. Around 80 percent of these files can be downloaded for free. The idea is simple: you type your search in the search bar and the site presents dozens of results. The user can then choose the 3D model that suits them, which will send them directly to the platform to download the model: Cults3D, Thingiverse<\/a>, MyMiniFactory, etc. It’s like Google for 3D printing.<\/p>\n

You can find everything on Yeggi, from small motorcycles to extruder protection and various figurines. However, the search engine has room for improvement. There are only a few search criteria. Why not have object categories or files sorted by printing difficulty? The site could offer more options to differentiate itself from other search engines such as STLfinder.<\/p>
