This including certain spare parts establishing railway additive manufacturing.\u00a0Together and thanks to 3D technologies, the partners hope to disrupt the railway sector by offering cheaper and faster solutions to produce.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>When we talk about additive manufacturing, we often come to talk about the transport sector and particularly automotive. Where we start to see more\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.3dnatives.com\/en\/additive-manufacturing-automotive280620184\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span>vehicles integrating 3D printed parts<\/span><\/a><span>\u00a0because they are lighter and more efficient.\u00a0However, the rail industry is not left out: applications are multiplying and train manufacturers are seriously considering this method of manufacture. In this regards we think of the Dutch company\u00a0<\/span><span>Nederlandse Spoorwegen,<\/span><span>\u00a0which recently revealed twenty or so 3D printed parts for its trains.\u00a0This time, our focus is on Britain, where one of the UK&#8217;s giants has officially started producing 3D printed components.<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_41677\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\">\n<div id=\"attachment_41677\" style=\"width: 710px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-41677\" class=\"wp-image-41677 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.3dnatives.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/train2.jpg\" alt=\"railway additive manufacturing\" width=\"700\" height=\"450\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-41677\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">3D printed Flip shelves<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The parts that have been approved so far include an arm rest, grab handle and seat back table. All of which will be 3D printed on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.3dnatives.com\/en\/3D-compare\/stratasys\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Stratasys FDM machines<\/a>\u00a0from high temperature thermoplastic materials.\u00a0Angel Trains explains that they used the Stratasys Antero 800 NA filament.
