The intention of this position is in supporting the 3D printing of complex and challenging components for Applied Research Laboratories (ARL).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"e8aeb39b _63726d13\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Work independently and manage multiple tasks while maintaining situational awareness for the appropriate use of PPE.<\/li>\n<li>Organize and maintain a clean work area for 3D printing machines and materials, suggest shop layout changes for better workflow or to accommodate different equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Operate, maintain, and repair equipment such as 3D printers, oven, filament dryer, sandblasting cabinet, SLS powder sifting station.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with management and equipment manufacturers to handle complex repairs.<\/li>\n<li>Use several different 3D printer software packages to control 3D printers.<\/li>\n<li>Correlate between each specific software package and its intended printer.<\/li>\n<li>Post-process 3D printed parts by cleaning, sanding, painting, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer and track digital 3D model files.<\/li>\n<li>Convert file types, store and organize the files to be able to generate and track 3D printed part requests.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with procurement and inventory management of materials and supplies to 3D print.<\/li>\n<li>Assist engineers and scientists in the design process for creating 3D printed parts.<\/li>\n<li>Produce 3D printed items according to their specific design specifications.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the training and support of new users in 3D printing technology.<\/li>\n<li>Proactively participate in the improvement and innovation of manufacturing processes, seeking new methods for efficient component fabrication.<\/li>\n<li>Keep abreast of new 3D printing technologies and materials.<\/li>\n<li>Other related functions as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Profile<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Required Qualifications <\/strong><\/p><div class=\"dnati-inside-article-leaderboard\" style=\"text-align: center;\" id=\"dnati-2451674104\"><a data-no-instant=\"1\" href=\"https:\/\/app.swapcard.com\/login\/event\/additiv-defense-2026\/ticket\/VGlja2V0VHlwZV83MDM4MQ==\/page\/UmVnaXN0cmF0aW9uRm9ybV81NjE4Ng==\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"a2t-link\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"LB (4)\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.3dnatives.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/03\/LB-4.gif\" alt=\"\"  width=\"850\" height=\"150\"   \/><\/a><\/div>\n<ul class=\"e8aeb39b _63726d13\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>HS\/GED.<\/li>\n<li>Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, Windows.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in use of a keyboard and mouse, to select, copy, paste, type, send and receive email, and search the internet.<\/li>\n<li>Two years of related experience.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of 3D printing technologies and materials.<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients, and explain complex technical information to colleagues.<\/li>\n<li>General neatness, proclivity to keep work space tidy and organized.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">US Citizen. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information at the level appropriate to the project requirements of the position<\/p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"e8aeb39b _63726d13\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Proficiency in 3D modeling and slicing software such as: PreForm, Cura, Repetier, Bambu Studio, Solidworks, PrusaSlicer.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with other manufacturing fabrication processes.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in Quality Control of manufactured parts.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in database and inventory management.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with mechanical engineering principles.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to research known issues and corrective actions for 3D printing failures.<\/li>\n<li>Certification in 3D printing or additive manufacturing.<\/li>\n<li>Able to interpret ASME Y14.5 standard technical drawings.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in mentoring and training.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">General Notes<\/p>\n<p>An agency designated by the federal government handles the investigation as to the requirement for eligibility for access to classified information.
