It is once again Sunday, which means it is time for the week’s top 5 3D printing videos! This weeks content features the three part Voices AMplified series, the largest 3D printed building known to date being built in Germany, China’s plan to build on the moon with additive manufacturing, and exploring what mass customization means in 3D printing! Check out the videos below to learn about the newest and most relevant  information of the week in the world of 3D printing. Happy Sunday, and as always, hope you enjoy!

Top 1: Voices AMplified: Hearing From Attendees of RAPID + TCT 2023

Voices AMplified is a new, three-part series in collaboration with SME, the main organizer of RAPID + TCT 2023, the largest additive manufacturing trade show in North America that captivated the 3D printing world just a. few weeks ago. Through the video series, 3Dnatives will be covering the latest trends and impressions from the event from all angles. In this 1st episode, we focused on attendees enjoying the show, the importance of AM for some industrial uses and how RAPID + TCT, and how 3D printing will look in 10 years. Also, don’t forget to check out part two and three which can be found on the 3Dnatives youtube channel, which take a look at the event from the point of view of the speakers and exhibitors! Top 2: 3D Printed Building Under Construction in Germany

Only two personnel were required to supervise the construction of Heidelberg, in Germany’s southernmost city, which is billed as “Europe’s largest 3D-printed building” by its developer. The method of construction entails a robotic arm that distributes a layer of cement on top of the previous layer, creating a ‘paperstack-esque’ design. The building will be 55 meters long, 11 meters wide, and 9 meters high and will take a mere 140 hours to build entirely from scratch, all with just two workers on site! 3D printing is truly changing the face of construction, with innovations that allows head-scratching opportunities that were once thought impossible.  When the construction is finished, the location will host a data center for servers.

Top 3: China’s New Plan To 3D Print On Lunar Surface Revealed!

When it comes to lunar space projects, China has enjoyed several encouraging moments and modern successes. The country performed sample return missions, landed an operational rover on the far side of the moon, and accomplished the impossible. However, recent revelations have shown that the Chinese space program intends to push the limits to their absolute limit and make history. Check out the video below to see what the country has up their sleeves in their next ambitious Lunar project.

Top 4: 10 3D Printing Projects: Rocky Mountain RepRap Festival 2023

The rocky Mountain RepRap Festival is an all-about-3D printing festival that showcases some of the newest and most important endeavors and innovations in 3D printing. The festival is a first of its kind that took place in Loveland, Colorado. From cooling solutions to new 3D printer features, such as Voron’s belt bed and Positrons upside down printing, the festival was widely robust and included a diverse array of topics. Check out the video below to see them fleshed out!

Top 5: Mass Customization with 3D Printing

Today, manufacturers have the world at their feet and can create consumer goods, wearables, prostheses, hearing equipment, dental appliances, and much more. The aformentioned products are all specifically suited to the demands of the end user thanks to advanced manufacturing techniques like 3D printing. The goal of mass customization is to scale custom manufacturing and achieve the nirvana of mass production of personalized goods. In this video, the basics of mass customisation, how 3D printing makes it possible fast and affordably, and demonstrate actual use cases of 3D printing for mass customization, and more, is explored. Check it out!
