We found the TOP 5 videos of the week related to 3D printing and collected the additive manufacturing here. Share your videos and comment on the article below or on the 3Dnatives’ Facebook or Twitter account. Hope you’ll enjoy and have a great Sunday!

Top 1: Octoberfest!

It is Octoberfest! But what happens when you combine Stainless steel, Titanium, 3D technology and the joy of Octoberfest? Check out when GE additive put their AddWorks team at the Customer Experience Center in Munich on the task of creating and redesigning a mug with additive manufacturing. A mug to hold up to the festivities of Octoberfest and enjoy.

Top 2: Charging sports injury treatment

New progress in the medical sector is constantly being developed. Now a UNM scientist is joining that pursued. They are trying to make ligaments with a 3D printer, by creating hybrid bone-ligament tissue through electrospinning and 3D bioprinting. If this new method works, it could change the way surgeons deal with sports injuries for the future.

Top 3: Drone Manufacturing

Moving from traditional manufacturing of machining parts from blocks of raw material, additive manufacturing brings a new method to the table. The benefits of this type of manufacturing include the ability to make complex structures and prototypes and so much more. Check out how an SME, Clogworks Technologies, are using 3D printing to make test components to enhance and evolve their drones.

Top 4: Tasty works of Art

3D printing brings a new tasty look to food, becoming the future of fine dining. The 3D technology have now been adopted in an upscale kitchen at the Restaurant Smink in the Netherlands. Check out their beautifully crafted dishes with 3D printed elements implemented in the entire menu.

Top 5: Reaching new dimensions

Bringing 3D printing into education is becoming of growing importance. The Towson University have taken on the task of teaching the next generation. Their students in the interdisciplinary object design program in the College of Fine Arts & Communication learn not only studio practice & manufacturing as well as design & emerge preparing them all to enter the workforce on both ends of the spectrum.
