Top 2: 3D Printing Parts for Formula 1 Cars

We’ve seen 3D printing increasingly incorporated into car production. Just last week, Ferrari revealed that they 3D printed parts for their new F80 supercar! This video gives you a tour of a Formula 1 Trim Shop, where they are 3D printing parts for race cars. The team had just invested over £90,000 in new 3D printers, from brands like Bambu Lab and Formlabs, to create on-demand parts for their F1 cars. Check out this video to see how this team integrates 3D printing into their shop.

Top 3: The First 3D Printed House in Chile

Construction 3D printing has been everywhere, and now, it has made its way to Chile. A team from the University of Biobío has just completed what they claim is the first 3D printed home in Latin America. They call the structure the “seed house,” and the home is a prototype located in Concepcion, Chile. The walls were built in just 29 hours and put together in two days. 3D printing homes may prove to be a way to address housing demands in Chile, and this project is a step in that direction.

Top 4: SPEE3D’s Expeditionary Manufacturing Unit (EMU)

The Expeditionary Manufacturing Unit (EMU) is a revolutionary mobile metal 3D printing solution designed for defense forces by SPEE3D. What makes the EMU truly mobile is that it is designed to go into the field, and can withstand high and low temperatures and different weather environments. Watch this video to see SPEE3D’s CTO and Co-Founder, Steve Camilleri, introduce the solution and explain how it’s unique from his company’s other products.

Top 5: The New MakerBot Sketch Sprint for Classrooms

MakerBot has just announced the release of a new 3D printer and this time, it’s designed for the classroom. The MakerBot Sketch Sprint is fully enclosed, quiet, and speedy, making it optimal for learning environments. There’s also a lock-code ensuring security and an air filter for safety.
