TCT Asia 2026: What to Know Before You Go

The twelfth edition of TCT Asia, the leading event for the additive manufacturing industry in the Asia-Pacific region, is almost here! This year’s summit will host a wide range of technologies, presented by over 550 exhibitors. The atmosphere is designed to offer networking opportunities, practical takeaways, and highly-focused content to help designers, engineers, and buyers evaluate, adopt, and optimize their additive requirements.
Under the theme, “Application Driven Change,” TCT Asia 2026 invites leading end-users to share real-world applications and future trends. It promises to be a vibrant hub for collaboration and insights into the dynamic world of 3D printing. If you’re planning on attending the event, register HERE. Members of the 3Dnatives team will be in attendance, so stay tuned for our coverage!

Essential Event Logistics
Before you dive into the technology, you need to know where you’re going. TCT Asia 2026 runs from March 17 to March 19, 2026. The massive exhibition will be hosted at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) in Shanghai, with the Main Stage located in Hall 8.1H.
The event is designed to be highly accessible for an international audience. General pre-registration is free and encouraged, as visitors without a badge will be charged at the door. All presentations and materials will be available in both Chinese and English. If you are traveling from abroad, the event organizers offer resources for pre-registration, hotel booking, and visa advice.
The Agenda: A Day-by-Day Industry Deep Dive
The programming at TCT Asia is organized by industry, allowing attendees to focus on their specific fields of interest. The action actually kicks off a day early on March 16th with an ASTM Certificate Course focused on the “Foundation of Standards.” After that, the main TCT Asia Summit unfolds over three distinct days. As the flagship platform of TCT Asia, the TCT Asia Summit unites leading companies, research institutions, design teams, and end-users from the global additive manufacturing community.
- Day 1 (March 17) – Healthcare: The opening day focuses heavily on the medical and dental fields. Expect deep dives into personalized implantable devices, the functionality of in-hospital 3D printing centers, and innovations in dental restorations like zirconia additive manufacturing.
- Day 2 (March 18) – Aviation & Aerospace: Day two looks to the skies. Industry experts will tackle topics ranging from the additive manufacturing of ultra-large lattice structures to heat exchange technology and the use of LPBF technology in commercial launch vehicles.
- Day 3 (March 19) – Consumer Goods, Industry & Architecture: The final day is a whirlwind of diverse applications. Sessions include (but are not limited to) the evolution of 3D-printed sports shoes, the collision of 3D printing and fashion textiles, new mass production paradigms in the automotive sector, and the prospects of 3D concrete printing in construction.

The industry applications being discussed at TCT Asia 2026
Beyond the TCT Asia Summit, there’s also the Tech Stage (which will be live March 17th and 19th) and the Insight Stage Series (which will be live on March 17th and 18th). The Tech Stage brings together experts from universities, research institutes, and government agencies to present the latest scientific research and analyze industry trends. On the 17th, the discussions will focus on research and development, and one the 19th, they’ll center on digital design and manufacturing.
The Insight Stage Series will feature The C-Suite View on March 17th, which gathers influential entrepreneurs, investors, and commentators to provide strategic insights and market outlooks. In the afternoon, the stage will welcome speakers who “Co-Create the AM Future.” The on the 18th, the stage will host leaders to discuss TCT Global AM Insights – such as an overview of this year’s Wohlers Report, the rise of China’s AM industry, and more. That afternoon, the conversation will shift to more global market trends and strategies for commercialization.
Key Speakers You Won’t Want to Miss
One of the main draws of the TCT Asia Summit is its roster of visionary speakers. As you build your schedule, you may want to flag these names:
- Hao Yongqiang: A Chief Physician and Professor at The Ninth People’s Hospital (affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine), Hao will be breaking down the concepts, models, and clinical transformations of 3D-printed personalized implants and biologically active bone organs.
- Tang Ye: Representing CASIC as Chief Engineer and Professor, Tang will provide critical insights into the development trends in additive manufacturing specifically engineered for complex aerospace systems. CASIC is one of China’s primary aerospace and defense contractors.
- Xu Weiguo: A Professor at Tsinghua University, Xu will take the stage on the final day to explore the fascinating intersection of AI-driven generative design and 3D-printed architecture. He is an international authority on 3D-printed architecture and printed the world’s longest 3D-printed concrete bridge in Shanghai.
Vicky Zhang: Zhang is Director of R&D at PIX Moving, a global leader in “Software Defined Vehicles.” They are at the forefront of using additive manufacturing to bypass traditional assembly lines for cars.
Exhibitors to See on the Showroom Floor
With 550+ companies exhibiting this year, the showroom floor is packed with hardware, software, and materials. There will be many machine innovations. You could stop by the Shanghai Hanbang United 3D Tech booth to see their HBD 400 metals AM machine, or visit Hunan Vanguard to check out their selective laser melting and sand mold micro-droplet jet printing equipment.

For those focused on the digital side, VoxelDance will be demonstrating its VoxelDance Additive software, while companies like Artec and SCANTECH will be pushing the boundaries of 3D scanning. Finally, don’t miss the materials sector, where companies like Inner Mongolia Sunrise New Materials will be debuting highly specialized products like anodizable, high thermal conductivity 3D-printed aluminium alloy powder.
Whether you are a surgeon looking to print custom bone grafts or an aerospace engineer optimizing rocket components, TCT Asia 2026 offers the knowledge you need to stay ahead of the curve. Be sure to register online HERE, download the floor plan, and prepare to witness the “Application Driven Change” firsthand!
