SPEE3D’s Cold Spray Additive Manufacturing Technology & EMU for On-Demand Manufacturing
SPEE3D is an innovative provider of metal-based additive manufacturing technologies. The Australian company focuses on the development and distribution of machines and integrated system solutions using its patented Cold Spray Additive Manufacturing technology. The products enable significantly faster, more cost-effective and more scalable production than conventional metal printing processes for a variety of metals, including copper, stainless steel and aluminum, among other materials.
At Formnext, we spoke to SPEE3D’s CEO Byron Kennedy about what drives the company, how exactly its proprietary Cold Spray Additive Manufacturing (CSAM) technology works and how it differs from other metal 3D printing processes. Byron also explained to us which applications and industries SPEE3D is targeting and explored the added value of its technology and printing equipment. Julius Pannen, Application & Service Engineer at SPEE3D, also discussed the Expeditionary Manufacturing Unit (EMU), which can be used in hard-to-reach locations for the on-demand production of essential components.
At Formnext 2024 in Frankfurt, you have the chance to meet with SPEE3D in person and experience the printing solutions live. At SPEE3D’s stand (C01 in Hall 12.0) you will also find numerous applications produced using Cold Spray Additive Manufacturing. Don’t miss the opportunity to check them out if you are at the show!
