Kings’ International Sales Team at TCT Asia, Shanghai in 2024.
3DN: Could you introduce yourself and your role at Kings 3D?
My name is Sophia Jiang and I’m the director of the global marketing team of Kings 3D. Our team is responsible for overseas marketing, channel expansion, 3D printer and material sales and technical support. Our goal is to ensure that we are providing top-tier 3D printing solutions that drive innovation and meet the evolving needs of customers from various industries all over the world.
3DN: How did the company come about and what have been your biggest milestones so far?
In 2015, Kings 3D was officially established to produce and sell industrial SLA 3D printers, but our history dates back to 2008 as a prototyping company and 3D printer user. Kings then went global in 2016 when it exported the first batch of printers to Portugal. Two years later, our self-owned factory, Jiangxi Kings, was built as a large-scale and standard 3D printer production base, and Kings officially started to develop and produce 3D printing materials. Today, we sell around 5000 tons of resin a year.
In 2022, Kings secured investment from Morgan Stanley and state-owned Guosen Capital, acquired Laseradd and Eastwind, and expanded its portfolio to include SLM and SLS 3D printers. The expansion to SLM makes Kings strong in both plastic and metal printers, and our industrial applications expand further to aerospace, medical, direct mold production, etc.
Furthermore, this diversification into SLS helps us expand not only to SLS equipment, but also to nylon powder, which is not only compatible with Kings printers but also with those from EOS, 3D Systems etc. We’ve seen a growing momentum in SLS powder, especially in Europe, this year.
2022 was a strategic year for us as we also developed the largest industrial SLA printer Kings 2700Pro (2700 x 900 x 800mm) in China, further strengthening our presence on the large-format SLA market. And in the same year, we launched large-format FGF 3D Printers, which are large, fast, boast low material costs and are fit for outdoor applications. These characteristics make them very suitable for large format sculptures, architectures and more
As it stands, more than 5000 Kings printers (SLA, SLM, FGF and SLS) have been sold in more than 45 countries, including Germany, UK, France, Portugal, Italy, Turkey, UAE, Japan, Korea, Australia, USA and Brazil, among others.

The global reach of Kings 3D can be seen through the countries and regions where its printers are currently sold.
