As we know, 3D printing, along with other disruptive technologies, plays a key role in Industry 4.0 and helping society move towards smart production. This is why events and trade shows are so important for bringing together experts and exhibitors to explore the latest innovations in this technology. This is best exemplified at the upcoming RAPID + TCT, which will take place June 25-27 in Los Angeles, where more than 400 represented companies will exhibit their advances and latest innovations in 3D printing and expert speakers will offer keynote sessions and educational content on additive manufacturing. In this context, it is worth highlighting the importance of the industry partners, whose collaboration makes RAPID + TCT such an inclusive and holistic event that encompasses the entire additive manufacturing ecosystem.

RAPID + TCT industry partners are companies and organizations that seek to advance the entire manufacturing ecosystem toward more common and efficient adoption. Their participation allows attendees to gain a broader perspective on not only the current state of the industry, but also its intersection with government regulation and standardized best practices.

Throughout the 3-day event, these partners will present curated panels taking place in the venue’s SME ZONE, with over 60 leading industry organizations represented. Let’s take a closer look at who these industry partners are and how their presence at RAPID + TCT fosters greater collaboration, standardization, diversity, innovation, thought leadership and industry growth.

Industry Partners at RAPID + TCT 2024

Additive Manufacturing Green Trade Association (AMGTA)

The Additive Manufacturing Green Trade Association (AMGTA), established in 2019, is an international trade association that brings together various organizations in the additive manufacturing field. Its main objective is to identify and promote the environmental benefits of additive design and manufacturing across the manufacturing ecosystem. Sherri Monroe will present the panel “Separating Fact from Fiction in the World of Additive Recycling” during the first day of the show.

Additive Manufacturing Users Group (AMUG)

AMUG’s origins date back to the early 1990s, when it was known as the 3D Systems North American Stereolithography Users Group. Today, AMUG educates and supports users of all additive manufacturing technologies. While its core principles remain the same, its membership is now more diverse and global, dedicated to the advancement of additive manufacturing for prototyping and rapid production. At RAPID + TCT 2024, the panel on “Top 10 Insights from AMUG 2024” is not to be missed.

Women in 3D Printing

Women in 3D Printing is a global organization that promotes, supports and inspires women in the field of additive manufacturing. Their mission is to increase the visibility of women in this industry and encourage them to use 3D printing technologies. The panel discussion entitled “Los Angeles Puts AM in the Spotlight!” with some of the most relevant female figures in this sector is definitely one to check out.

Advanced Regenerative Manufacturing Institute (ARMI)

Located in Manchester, NH, the Advanced Regenerative Manufacturing Institute (ARMI) has a mission to make scalable production of engineered tissues and related technologies viable. ARMI brings together different partners and organizations to develop advanced processes and technologies for cell, tissue and organ manufacturing. The panel “Manufacturing Tomorrow’s Therapeutics: Innovations & Triumphs in Bioprinting”, will discuss various health-related technological aspects.

3D Manufacturing Format (3MF)

3D Manufacturing Format (3MF) is an open-source format for 3D printing that enables design applications to transfer digital model specifications, not only with respect to geometry, but also materials, colors and printers, to various manufacturing platforms and services. Duann Scott will be presenting “Why 3MF Is Becoming the Default File Format for Additive Manufacturing,” a talk that will inform manufacturing professionals about this open-source specification, which is being adopted by leading industry platforms.

ASTM Internacional: Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence

The ASTM International Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence (AM CoE) is a collaboration of several entities to conduct strategic research and advance additive manufacturing standards, thereby accelerating the development and adoption of innovative technologies. The conference “Qualification & Certification of AM Facilities, Processes & Personnel” will be presented by Richard Huff on the second day of the show.

Fullsight

With decades of experience in mobility, Fullsight brings together people, processes and technologies to drive additive manufacturing. It facilitates connections between government and industry and acts as a data management resource through publications and by exploring new ways to integrate digital information in the data age. You can learn more in the talk titled “Digital Transformation & the Path to Certification”.

Radiological Society of North America (RSNA)

The Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) is a non-profit organization that provides educational resources, including continuing education credits for physicians, organizes the world’s largest radiology congress, and publishes leading peer-reviewed journals in different technologies. This topic will be addressed during the presentation “RSNA 3D Printing Special Interest Group: Harnessing the Power of Radiology in Medical 3D Printing”.

America Makes

Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Youngstown, Ohio, America Makes is the Department of Defense’s national manufacturing innovation institute for AM. Members, which include industry, academia, government and economic development organizations, collaborate to accelerate the adoption of AM and improve global manufacturing competitiveness.

SME Technical Community

SME’s AM Community is comprised of technical experts, including the Additive Manufacturing Technical Community Leadership Committee, the Direct Digital Manufacturing Advisory Team and the Medical Additive Manufacturing Advisory Team. These groups support SME’s mission by promoting additive manufacturing knowledge through awards, reports, case studies and content development, presented at RAPID + TCT.
