The New Orleans Mini Maker Faire is the celebration of innovation, ingenuity, and making in all of its forms–from technology to sustainability to culinary to art to robotics, and beyond! Our goal is to showcase the best in creativity and D-I-Y, and make it easy for curious people to come and see firsthand the skill and ingenuity that’s happening here in New Orleans and around the region.
Now in its fifth year, our showcase has seen extraordinary growth since the inaugural event in 2014. Our first year featured 35 makers and was attended by 1,000 people. In 2015 we hosted 85 makers and welcomed over 2,300 attendees. 2016 saw 90 makers/performers/speakers and over 3,000 attendees, and 2017 hosted more than 90 makers and over 4,000 attendees! This year, our mission is to continue to seek out and showcase the culture of art, design, and do-it-yourself that has made New Orleans one of America’s most unique cities.
