Bambu Lab Opens Its First Retail Store in China

How often do you see a 3D printer sitting on a store shelf? Chances are, you haven’t. Most consumer 3D printing sales still happen online. Bambu Lab is looking to change that with the launch of what it calls the “world’s first dedicated 3D printing retail experience.” The company has just opened its own flagship store, becoming the first 3D printer manufacturer to do so, in Shenzhen’s Nanshan District. This signals a new chapter in how people may discover and engage with desktop 3D printing.
The store, which spans 244 square meters, aims to make 3D printing a tangible experience. In the center of the shop, they have a massive CyberBrick diorama, which was entirely 3D printed on a farm of 100+ H2D printers running continuously for one week. The display allows visitors to see the potential of 3D printing, and they can also interact with it directly.

Beyond the impressive visuals, the store showcases Bambu Lab’s complete printer lineup, including a wall installation of A1 printers and the full spectrum of filament colors. A MakerSupply display also demonstrates the full ecosystem of tools and materials. Additionally, the store features a gallery designed to honor top creators from the MakerWorld community, celebrating path-breaking designs they have created. Guests can also purchase 3D printed objects from the on-site Mini Market.
More to Come?
With this development, Bambu Lab aims to position itself as a “true consumer electronics company,” with the goal of bringing 3D printing to everyone. Having the first Bambu Lab store in Shenzen was a natural first step, given that the company is headquartered there. But according to the company, this is only the beginning, and they plan to open more stores, including international locations. Will this be the start of 3D printing companies opening retail spaces? You will have to stay tuned to find out.
