Anycubic Photon P1: A Resin 3D Printer Built for Precision, Advanced Performance, and Broader Compatibility

According to a study published by Verified Market Research, the resin 3D printing market is on track to reach $37.4 billion by 2031, growing at a rate of 16.4% between 2024 and 2031. This momentum reflects a thriving sector, but also the growing confidence many industries have in resin 3D printing technologies, thanks to the precision and resolution they offer. With greater speed, build-volume, and precision, today’s machines can achieve finer details and higher productivity. As material portfolios expand, the trend is also moving toward the production of final parts, indicating resin AM’s maturity.
It is against this backdrop of growth and industrialization that manufacturer Anycubic operates. At Formnext 2025, it presented numerous innovations, including a more powerful and professional resin machine, the Photon P1. Its key features include the possibility to split a regular print plate into two separate ones, allowing printing two different material and model files at one go, uniform bed leveling, and broader material compatibility for processing high-viscosity resins. The 3D printer therefore focuses on professional performance while remaining accessible. Currently available on Kickstarter, the Photon P1 is full of promise. Let’s take a closer look at what defines it!

Anycubic Photon P1
A More Robust and Intelligent Machine, Compatible with Numerous Resins
Anycubic has opted for a tougher system to ensure greater stability and printing consistency. It has equipped its Photon P1 with a Wave Release Technology that reduces peel force by up to 60%: the layers are separated more gently, which increases the print success rate. In addition, the manufacturer has integrated the LighTurbo 4.0 System, which improves the way each beam moves and cures each layer. Users can count on collimation accuracy of less than 2°, resulting in intricate details, sharper edges, and enhanced surfaces. Anycubic also equipped its machine with Intelligent Leveling System 3.0, which offers guided assistance during printing to help keep the build plate evenly aligned throughout the process.
Another interesting (but optional) feature is the ability to use two resin tanks at once if you take the Dual Material Print Kit. This lets users print with two colors or two types of materials without changing tanks. The slicer can manage different print settings for each one, simplifying the job. Additionally, Anycubic developed smart tanks that automatically adapt to the resin they contain. With a capacity of 1,000 mL, the tank can maintain the material at the correct temperature up to 40°C. This allows it to flow better, cure better, and ensure better printing results. In terms of materials, the Photon P1 is compatible with high viscosity resins up to 8,000 cps.

An option is available to have 2 separate resin tanks
Finally, if we look at some of the technical specifications, note that the Photon P1 features a 223 x 126 x 230 mm build plate and a 14K LCD screen for greater precision. Its resolution on the Z axis is 20 microns, and its print volume is 6.5 liters. According to the manufacturer, this 3D printer offers a 10% larger build volume, 20–30% more resin saving, and 50–80% greater dimensional accuracy.
Applications and Availability of the Photon P1
The Photon P1 has been designed for multiple applications, particularly for those looking for flexible materials, technical resin prototypes, or even mass-produced parts. The manufacturer adds: “Anycubic Photon P1 embodies near-industrial craftsmanship, ensuring unwavering stability and consistency in every print. From dental models to BJDs and transparent prototypes, every detail is printed with remarkable smoothness and clarity, transforming your creative vision into tangible, flawless beauty.”

The printer is available on Kickstarter
The Photon P1 is available today on the dedicated Kickstarter campaign. A Super Early Bird price of $499 is available for those who are interested (limited slots), so don’t miss this opportunity HERE! The manufacturer’s suggested retail price will be $799. The 3D printer will be shipped in January.
