ADDITIV Metals World: The Agenda and Speakers

The moment you have all been waiting for is nearly here! ADDITIV Metals World will be taking place on May 22nd from 9:00 AM–1:30 PM EDT (3:00–7:30 PM CEST). This first-ever edition will be a half-day dedicated to networking, connecting, and learning more about metal additive manufacturing with a number of partners and sponsors, including InssTek, Materialise, Hiperbaric, SPE, ASTM, AMGTA, IAM3DHUB, Metal AM, 3Dprint.com, and Design for AM Network! We will be welcoming an expected 500+ attendees… Register for free to attend!
Metals are essential to the advancement of additive manufacturing. They are extensively used across industries such as aerospace, automotive and transport, oil and gas, healthcare and more to produce strong, lightweight, and tailored components. This enables better design flexibility, weight savings, and on-demand production, all of which are reshaping the future of industrial manufacturing. We will explore these topics and much more with our speakers and attendees at ADDITIV Metals World!

At ADDITIV Metals World, learn about the different ways metals are being used in 3D printing.
Speakers and Agenda at ADDITIV Metals World
Workshops and panel discussions will be at the forefront of ADDITIV Metals World, with three sessions of each scheduled throughout the half-day event. Distinguished speakers from leading companies and institutions will join the panel discussions and workshops.
All panel discussions will last 40 minutes. The virtual event will kick off with an opening speech before moving on to the day’s first panel, “Harnessing the Potential for Metal AM in Transportation” Lorenzo Gasparoni (Alstom), Henri de Chassey (WABTEC Corporation), Nanzhu Zhao (Nissan) and Peter Rosker (Conflux Technology) will share their experiences and reveal how they harness the full potential of 3D printing in their roles. This will be followed by a workshop, “Cut Costs, Not Corners: Reduce Waste, Minimize Errors and Maximize ROI in Metal AM” with Jeremy Leveq, Application Engineer at Materialise.

The ADDITIV events welcome over a thousand participants each year from all sectors that use AM.
The second panel of the day will delve into how the metal AM workflow can be optimized. Stefan Ritt (AM-3D) will lead the discussion, in which David Ramirez (HOWCO Additive Manufacturing) and Giovanni Rizza (Politecnico di Torino) will contribute. The next workshop will feature Seunghwan Lim from InssTek and is titled, “Unlocking the Potential of Multi-Material Manufacturing: Advancements in DED 3D Printing and Industrial Applications.”
The third panel is dedicated to DfAM. In “How to Create Lightweight Parts With Metal AM: Material Restrictions and Design Challenges,” Dr. Martin White (ASTM), Sherri Monroe (AMGTA, Mike York (Eaton Aerosapce) and Ilana Lu (Nasa) will discuss how design challenges can be overcome in additive manufacturing and how metal 3D printing enables lighter parts. Last but not least, Óscar Meabe (Hiperbaric) will round off the event and shed light on the aspects of component quality and durability in his workshop “Elevating Metal AM Components: Benefits of Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) for Enhanced Quality and Durability.” You can find the full agenda HERE.
