3Dnatives announces the departure of its CEO, Alexandre Martel, who founded the company and headed it for over ten years. This news comes almost two years after the company was acquired by Society of Plastics Engineering (SPE). This acquisition enabled the American organization to extend its expertise to the additive manufacturing sector. It now entrusts the leadership of 3Dnatives to Filippos Voulpiotis, Chief Business Officer since the end of 2018.

Alexandre Martel launched 3Dnatives at the end of 2013 and devoted over a decade to developing the company, first in France, then internationally, starting with Spain, Germany, the English-speaking market and finally Italy. A strategy of expansion that has paid off handsomely, with 3Dnatives attracting over a million visitors a month worldwide, and supporting industry professionals of all kinds.

Alexandre commented, “After more than a decade building 3Dnatives, the time has come for me to step back and let a highly dedicated team write the next chapter of its story. It has been an incredible journey, shaped by insightful exchanges and meaningful collaborations with professionals across the 3D printing industry. I am deeply grateful to our clients and partners for their trust and support over the years. I have no doubt that 3Dnatives is in a strong position to continue supporting additive manufacturing companies worldwide, helping them promote their products and services to our engaged audience of industrial professionals.”

Filippos Voulpiotis, now Managing Director of 3Dnatives, adds, “I’d like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Alex for his outstanding contributions to the 3D printing industry. His dedication at 3Dnatives has been one of passion and progress, and I’m honored to take the reins at such an exciting time. Moving forward, my focus will be on deepening our industry connections, exploring new frontiers in additive manufacturing, and ensuring 3Dnatives remains at the forefront of this transformative technology.”

The whole 3Dnatives team wishes Alexandre all the best in his new professional adventures, and will of course continue to develop relevant content for the additive manufacturing sector.

New Market-Driven Projects for 3Dnatives

3Dnatives is evolving to keep pace with market trends and expectations. The teams already have several exciting plans for 2025, both in terms of content and events. Indeed, 3Dnatives will be attending the TCT Asia trade show in China for the first time, demonstrating its determination to address this fast-growing market and get closer to its players.

The teams will continue to work on the ADDITIV brand, this year offering two virtual events focusing on metals and polymers, in recognition of the importance of materials in the market. Finally, 3Dnatives is convinced that applications are at the heart of additive manufacturing, and will therefore continue to develop content for verticals such as medical, automotive and aerospace. The aim is to cover all the latest developments in these verticals, even more regularly and in greater depth.

Filippos Voulpiotis concludes, “Providing high-end content for over 1 million people every month is a responsibility I do not take lightly. The 3Dnatives team has been working hard to develop numerous ways for our followers to keep up to date with the latest and greatest the world of 3D printing has to offer. From expanding to the Chinese market to hosting our ADDITIV virtual events, and many more, we have lots of exciting initiatives to share. Stay tuned!”
