Profile
X-Hab 3D seeks a skilled Mechanical Technician with hands-on expertise in assembling and maintaining heavy equipment for 3D concrete printing and other construction applications. You’ll play a key role in building and supporting our mobile 3D concrete printing systems, working with components like continuous track systems, hydraulics, robotic arms, and electronics. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge construction technology in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Assemble mobile 3D concrete printing systems, including tank tracks, hydraulic systems, diesel generators, programmable robotic arms, and related components.
• Integrate electronics into mechanical assemblies.
• Use power tools (welding, drilling, cutting) for fabrication and assembly tasks.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications for construction and troubleshoot
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to ensure system assembly aligns with specifications and safety standards.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and hydraulic systems as needed.
• Maintain high standards of quality and reliability in all builds.
• Follow safety protocols when working with heavy equipment and tools.
Qualifications
• Associate’s degree (AA) in Mechanical Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in assembling and maintaining heavy equipment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience in electronics assembly and mechanical integration is a plus.
• Skilled in using power tools, including welding, drilling, and cutting equipment.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Must have valid driver’s license
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
