Profile

The company is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Manufacturing to lead and elevate end-to-end manufacturing operations. This pivotal role will oversee and optimise all production functions, from materials handling to quality assurance—all while embracing innovation and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute manufacturing strategies aligned with company goals and compliance standards.
  • Lead and support production teams, enhancing capabilities across materials like surgical-grade stainless steel and titanium alloys.
  • Drive continuous improvement in production efficiency, yield, and product quality.
  • Ensure that products consistently meet regulatory and industry standards, particularly those related to high precision and medical-grade requirements.
  • Oversee supply chain logistics, capacity planning, and workflow optimisation.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, R&D, quality engineering, and commercial, to accelerate time-to-market.
  • Cultivate a culture of safety, quality, operational rigor, and excellence across manufacturing operations.
  • Manage, coach, and develop manufacturing leadership staff to build a resilient and high-performing team.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (required); Master’s or MBA preferred, in fields such as engineering, manufacturing, or operations management.
  • Proven leadership in manufacturing, ideally in high-precision, surgical, or medical device-related environments.
  • Deep understanding of stainless steel (including surgical grades) and titanium alloy production processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement advanced manufacturing practices (Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement).
  • Skilled in balancing operational efficiency with compliance and quality controls.
  • Strong track record in building teams, developing leaders, and managing multi-faceted operations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills across technical and commercial domains.
