Mission
The Consumer Packaging North America Division has an immediate need for a Design & Additive Manufacturing Intern. This role will assist our Corporate Additive Manufacturing (AM) team to deliver on a division wide AM strategy to support Berry Global’s North American manufacturing site.
Responsibilities
- Use of SolidWorks 3D CAD software for part modeling and technical drawings.
- Reverse engineering of MRO components to support manufacturing efficiencies.
- Improvement of reverse engineered MRO part designs.
- Accurately measure parts using various types of digital devices such as calipers and micrometers.
- Troubleshoot and brainstorm with cross functional teams across multiple manufacturing sites to deliver MRO solutions that yield cost savings and improved manufacturing efficiencies.
Profile
Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in a Product Design/Development related field
- SolidWorks or related 3D CAD experience
- High mechanical aptitude and problem solving abilities
- Knowledge of 3D printing technologies
- Collaborative driven team player with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
- Confident and articulate speaking skills
- Good listening and note taking skills
- Strong organizational skills
