Profile

You will be responsible for performing all functions associated with the additive manufacturing process. Work in a manufacturing environment with a mix of physically demanding and mentally challenging tasks. Follows established procedures, work instructions, methods and sequence of operations related to the creation of production parts using Additive Manufacturing – 3D Printing.

  • Setup, operate and perform daily maintenance on additive manufacturing machines
    • Strictly adheres to proper use of Personal Protective Equipment
    • Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gage pins height gages, dial indicators and precision scales
    • Remove support material from additively printed parts by mechanical means using an array of tools
    • Proper use of hand, power and pneumatic tools such as pliers, screw drivers, hammers and punches, chisels, saws, clamps, drills, impact hammers, abrasives, grinders and rotary drills
    • Ability to accurately read and record information (i.e. material manufacture date, serial number, and     other criteria) that is critical to the production process
    • Perform record keeping for FOD prevention
    • Hands-on powder handling including sieving, sampling, loading, and cleaning
    • Ability to self-inspect parts/components, with strong attention to detail
    • Maintain traceability of all powder and parts
    • Lift, load and unload material canisters weighing upwards of 50 lbs. from floor to overhead shelf
    • Coordinate part movement
    • Ability to order, receive, and ship parts
    • Perform housekeeping and cleanup duties upon completion of assigned tasks
    • Actively participate in housekeeping efforts by maintaining an orderly, clean, and safe work area
    • Assist in other tasks as required

    • Project management on small to medium projects
    • Must be able to perform a variety of routine tasks and demonstrate a good working knowledge of    equipment, procedures and working with common hand tools
  • Additive Manufacturing Experience Preferred

Education

  • HS Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Associate’s / Technical Degree (two years) is preferred.
