Profile
The Applications Engineer, Additive Manufacturing (Polymers) is an early member of the Hubbell Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence in Wilmington, Massachusetts. This role serves as a subject matter expert in polymer additive manufacturing, including powder bed fusion technologies such as SLS and MJF, as well as photopolymer 3D printing. The engineer manages a portfolio of production-scale AM projects, from feasibility assessment and application validation to full-scale implementation, ensuring technical requirements, schedules, and budgets are met. Acting as the primary liaison for internal customers, the engineer bridges technology and practical application, applying DfAM principles to optimize design for manufacturability. The ideal candidate brings experience in polymer AM for end-use or serial production applications, strong CAD and simulation skills, and the ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while establishing standards, best practices, and guidance for polymer AM across the organization.
