Mission
Profile
- Serve as the technical point of contact for customer additive manufacturing projects.
- Evaluate design requirements and recommend appropriate additive manufacturing technologies (e.g., SLS, SLA, DMLS, FDM, MJF, etc.).
- Collaborate with design and production teams to optimize parts for printability, performance, and cost.
- Develop and implement build strategies, including part orientation, support structure generation, and post-processing workflows.
- Run simulation and validation tools to assess thermal and structural performance of printed parts.
- Troubleshoot printing and post-processing issues and provide actionable solutions.
- Conduct design for additive manufacturing (DfAM) training and workshops for customers or internal staff.
- Lead the development of new projects directly with customers on behalf of sales
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations, SOW’s and proposals to prospective clients.
- Participate in marketing activities (webinars, tradeshows, content, presentations, etc.)
- Maintain deep understanding of the company’s products & services.
- Support material selection and testing initiatives.
- Maintain detailed documentation of projects, processes, and lessons learned.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in additive manufacturing MJF.
- Strong understanding of various 3D printing technologies and materials.
- Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360).
- Familiarity with slicing software (Magics, NetFabb).
- Problem-solving mindset with hands-on technical skills.
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
